Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) has partners in the following countries: Anguilla; Aruba; The Bahamas, Barbados; British Virgin Islands; Cuba; Dominica; Dominican Republic; Grenada; Guyana; Haiti; Jamaica; Martinique; Montserrat; Puerto Rico; St. Kitts; St. Lucia; St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Suriname; Trinidad and Tobago; The United States of America; and Canada.
Any entity, except individuals, may become a partner of GWP-C. GWP-C Partners include:
- Public and Private Water Management /Water Services Agencies
- Professional Associations
- Statutory Bodies and Agencies
- Research/Education/Training Organisations
- Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)
- Community Based Organisations (CBOs)
- Inter-governmental Organisations
- Regional Organisations and Regional Offices of International Organisations operating in the Caribbean archipelago, including Guyana and Suriname
- Consultancy Organisations
- Other Private and Public Sector Organisations
There is no fee attached to applying to become a GWP-C partner. The partnership application procedure is as follows:
- A prospective partner must complete a partnership application form.
- The completed application form can be sent to the GWP-C Secretariat via e-mail, fax or mail.
- The partnership application is then sent to the GWP-C Steering Committee for preliminary approval.
- Once the GWP-C Steering Committee approves the application it is then sent to the Executive Secretary of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) in Stockholm, Sweden. Only the Executive Secretary has the power to give final approval of a new partner.
