Situated by the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, Myanmar is bordering Bangladesh, China, India, Lao PDR and Thailand. The terrain is characterized by central lowlands rigged by steep, rugged highlands. The climate is tropical monsoon with hot humid summers and milder winters. The land is rich in e.g. petroleum, timber, tin copper, tungsten and lead.
