Togo is situated by the Bight of Benin, bordering Benin, Burkina Faso and Ghana. The climate varies across the country, with tropical climate in the south and semiarid in the north. This variation is made possible due to the country's length which allows it to stretch through six distinct geographic regions; climate varies from tropical to savanna. Togo is rich in phosphates, limestone and marble.
