Situated in the Southern South America by the South Atlantic Ocean, Uruguay is bordered by Argentina and Brazil. It is the second-smallest South American country (after Suriname). The climate is warm and temperate with freezing temperatures being almost unknown. In terms of natural resources, Uruguay has access to arable land hydropower and minor minerals.
