Mr Johan Holmberg has extensive experience in development cooperation. He worked for SIDA and SAREC, two Swedish aid agencies, for 17 years. He was responsible for Sida’s work in agriculture, rural development, water resources management, and conservation of the environment. He lived for extended periods in four African countries for 14 years , including as Swedish ambassador to Ethiopia and Chargé d’Affaires in Mozambique. Mr. Holmberg served as GWP's first Executive Secretary concurrently with being Assistant Director General at SIDA.
Mr Suresh P Prabhu, former Member of the Indian Parliament (1996-2009) and former Chair of GWP South Asia (2004-2009), was appointed a GWP Ambassador in January 2010.
Mr Prabhu has held cabinet positions such as Minister for Industry, Minister for Environment and Forests, Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, and Minister for Power, Heavy Industry & Public Enterprises. He also has business experience on a local, regional and global level.
