GWP’s VISION is a water secure world. Our MISSION is to advance governance and management of water resources for sustainable and equitable development.

GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

GWP's Technical Committee Chair Bids Farewell

“I consider myself very fortunate to have spent the last 6 years as the Chair of the Technical Committee. The Committee should be seen as the stable backbone of GWP,” says Dr. Mohamed Ait-Kadi in a farewell interview.

The GWP Technical Committee currently consists of 13 international experts who provide guidance and content to GWP’s technical publications.

Looking back at his time with GWP, Dr. Ait-Kadi says that the Technical Committee’s strength lies in its unique mix of disciplines, from different regions and organisations. He wanted to build a proactive Committee, he says, where it played an active part in shaping the thinking about transition to a water secure world. So where did they start, what were the challenges, and where are they heading now?
