Functions of the Partnership Network

Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) is a working partnership among stakeholders in water management in the Caribbean who are committed to promoting and applying Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the region.

GWP-C partners are expected to engage in the following:

  • Mobilisation of resources to carry out an Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) work programme geared towards facilitating members in fulfilling their objectives.
  • Identification of critical gaps and addressing these gaps through partners.
  • Provision of advisory services to members.
  • Work with members to facilitate the training of scientific and technical personnel in the region in IWRM.
  • Collection and dissemination of information on fields of activities of concern to the partnership, particularly as it relates to best practices.
  • Promotion and strengthening of interaction and co-operation at different levels and across the different sectors to sustain IWRM in the region and in particular to promote the formation of Country Water Partnerships (CWPs).
