On behalf of GWP China Region, Wang Hao, Acting Chair of GWP China Region and Rugang Zheng, Secretary General/Coordinator of GWP China Region met Margaret Catley Carlson. Angela Klauschen, Senior Network Officer of GWPO was invited to the meeting; Shangfu Kuang, President of the IWHR; ZhanyiGao, Professor and the Chief Engineer of the IWHR and Hai Jin on behalf of the Ministry of Water Resources.
At the meeting, Zheng made a brief introduction about the major activities of GWP China in recent years and the impacts on water management reform; Prof. Wang introduced the water resources management, the water development plan and the latest development of water science and technology in China as well as other issues of mutual Interest. After the formal meeting, Prof. Kuang, President of the IWHR, on behalf of the Host Institute of GWP China invited Carlson and other guests to a reception dinner to continue the discussion of common interests.
