GWP Med was created in 2002.
It has initially started its action since 1999 as the Mediterranean Technical Committee (MEDTAC) of GWP.
GWP Med brings together a dynamic network of key stakeholders involved in water resources management in the Mediterranean.
Further to its membership, GWP Med has a range of active collaborations and synergies with a wide spectrum of institutions and organisations at the regional, sub-regional, transboundary and national levels, providing support, sharing knowledge and building capacity to improve water management.
