Guinea partners to give new dynamism to CWP

Partners of the Guinea Country Water Partnership are actively for ways to reactivate the CWP. Following up on the recommendations of the regional Assembly of Partners of September 2017 inviting the CWP to meet criteria of accreditation and improve the internal governance of the network, the partners have organized two meetings to discuss ways and means to revitalize the CWP.

A first meeting was held on 13 October followed by a second one on October 20 during which partners agreed to inform all partners who are still reluctant to take part in the activities and organize a general assembly to renew the organs. The chair of the CWP could not participate in either of the meetings and is unavailable since he was elected as a chair of the CWP back in 2011. But he is said to be ready to hand over during an assembly he is ready to organize.

A third meeting is planned for early November to follow up.
