Mali CWP holds extraordinary partners’ meeting

The Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Mali held an extraordinary meeting of its partners on 27 January 2018 to review its basic texts (Statutes and regulations). The main changes are that the permanent secretary who was elected is now giving place to a recruited Executive secretary and is heading a secretariat that may include recruited personnel for projects and programmes.

The conditions for adhering the partnership have also been specified as well the nature and the level of contributions.

The extraordinary Assembly of the CWP Mali Partners has extended for 6 months from 1st January 2018, the mandate of the current chair, Mr. Mamadou Sylla and requested him to proceed with the renewal of all the organs according a schedule ending 30 June 2018 with the organization of an ordinary partners’ meeting.

A Steering Committee meeting was held on January 17, 2018 prior to the Partners’ meeting to validate changes in the texts and prepare the General meeting.

Both meetings were attended by the regional chair, Professor Amadou Hama MAIGA who is a resident of Bamako. The Secretariat was represented at the partners meeting by Sidi COULIBALY, Communication and knowledge manager.
