This is an important document that will serve to develop the Programme of measures and Investment Plans leading the development of the Mekrou basin development and management scheme.
The event was presided by the director general of water and aimed at analysing and choosing three scenarios fitting in the future development of the Mekrou basin at national level. Thirty participants attended the event including officials form the water directorate, the directorate of environment and climate, the directorate of the Beninese agency for the integrated management of the borders, the service of meteorology, riparian municipalities of the Mekrou basin, the National Institute of water, NGOs, etc.
Recommendations were made to improve the content of the document.
