The FPG provides a two-way communication channel at the global level between the GWP (as a development partner of the donors) and the donors. It is also a forum where donors can exchange views, and share their policies and approaches to water resources management. The relationship with donors at the global level is a unique feature of the GWP and extends beyond funding.
The Financial Partners Group is a forum for achieving broad consensus on ideas and solutions in integrated approaches to water resources management. This relationship will be developed at regional and country levels, to enhance donor and government responses to regional and national priorities on water management.
