National Consultations on Water in the Post-2015 Development Agenda–phase II

The National Consultations were conducted in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal on 18 February, 15 and 24 March and 6 April consecutively. Representatives from the water and natural resources agencies, donors, research organisations including the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), private sector, government ministries were participated for consultations.

Presentations and discussions on Water Challenges and Sustainable Development – Post 2015, A Potential Global Goal for Water: National Consultations, water and sanitation, water pollution, waste water management, refining the water policies/laws, status of water resources and water related disasters were conducted, allowing to reflect the views of participants. The consultation output will be country reports which give an overview of opinions of the participating countries on the future development agenda which will be made available soon.
