GWP SAS welcomes its counterparts to a virtual meeting on South Asia Drought Monitoring System

A collaborative project of International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) and World Meteorological Organization (WMO)/GWP Integrated Drought Management Programme (IDMP) - ‘Development of South Asia Drought Monitoring System (SADMS)’ organises a Webinar on 30 September 2015 at 10.00 am (GMT+05.30).

GWP SAS with its Country Water Partnerships are inviting the National Stakeholders of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, who will be the ultimate users of this product, to the upcoming Webinar. This foremost Webinar is an additional interim consultation to the interactive workshop which was held in Bangladesh on 20 April 2015, with the participation of nearly 30 climate and water experts representing the South Asia region, IWMI, GWP SAS, Global Water Partnership Secretariat (GWPO) and WMO. The virtual meeting will further facilitate the interim consultation process with National Counterparts to validate SADMS at the end of Phase I of the project, before it is made operational and to tailor it with the end user requirements.

The one hour meeting will be hosted by Dr Giriraj Amarnath, Senior Researcher - Remote Sensing and Water Resources from IWMI. The stakeholders are welcomed to share questions and/comments during the meeting through their social media login.
