Guatemala Workshops Create Gender and Water Networks

An interregional workshop on “Women and Water Management” was held in Guatemala in October, organised by UNESCO and supported by GWP Guatemala, GWP Central America and GWP South America. (Photo: Participants at the workshop)

Several representatives from the GWP network were speakers. The group “Water and Gender” was formed in 2006 to promote the participation of women and youth in water management and to contribute to solving water problems with equity. Two networks were created, “Women and Water from Latin America”, and “Female Lawyers and Water of UNESCO”. Read more.
