World Water Week 2023

Stockholm, Sweden & online

World Water Week is one of the leading conferences on global water issues. It has been held every year since 1991. The theme of this year’s World Water Week is “Seeds of Change: Innovative Solutions for a Water-Wise World.”

We are currently facing various global crises. Climate change, biodiversity loss, poverty, and more. Not only are they interlinked; they also share the trait that they all have water at the core.

That’s why innovative solutions on water are needed. World Water Week 2023 will build on World Water Week 2022, which explored the value of water, and the many important discussions on resilience held in 2021.

The Week reflects the extreme urgency of major geopolitical problems such as climate change, biodiversity loss, hunger, inequality, and insecurity, meaning that it is closely linked to many different international processes and to all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

World Water Week 2023 takes place in Stockholm, Sweden and online on 20-24 August 2023.
