Regional Water Integrity workshop held

The Water Integrity Network (WIN) organized a one-day regional meeting in the premises of GWP WA on 22 February. It has been some ten years since WIN started its activities in West Africa in collaboration with GWP-WA, VBA, ECOWAS/WRCC and countries among others.

In order to perpetuate the achievements and reflect on ways and means of responding to the growing demand for tools to promote integrity, the meeting was held.

The aim was to reflect on the establishment of a community of practice in water integrity and to reflect on ways and means of creating demand for WIN integrity tools, incorporating them into water projects and programmes in the sub region and raising funds for additional programmes.

The meeting reviewed WIN's suite of tools to promote water integrity. It also explored avenues for co-opting and involving the private sector, sub-regional political organizations and governments. Discussions focused on the fundraising approach for additional programs to promote water integrity. Perspectives include the finalization of an approach for exchanging documentation and good practice in promoting water integrity in the sub region.
