How to display the names of the country partner institutions directly from the gwpo database?

Ok, it’s a good idea but we don’t have a template that does that exactly. But we have a work around.

The Contacts List page type only allows you to list Contacts from the GWP organisational tree and not Organizations. To get around this, we have added a generic contact for the office of every organisation, so you can pick the Office from the tree.

This means the tree looks something like this when you open it:

  • GWPO
  • -> Organisation A (Page type: SF Organisation)
  •      \_Someone  (Page type: SF Contact)
  •      \_Organisaiton A (Page type: SF Contact)
  • -> Organisation B (Page type: SF Organisation)
  •      \_Someone (Page type: SF Contact)
  •      \_Organisaiton B (Page type: SF Contact)
  • etc.
The trick is instead of choosing the organisation "Organisation A" one chooses the contact record instead, Organisaiton A (Page type: SF Contact). As this has page type of CONTACT it will work and the contact list page will operate correctly.
