Roles and Benefits of Partners

ROLES OF PARTNERS

  • National Designated Authorities (NDAs) will coordinate in-country coordination of stakeholders and liaise with the Partnership
  • GCF DAEs and Regional Accredited entities will lead preparation of water project ideas into GCF concept notes and full proposals
  • Water ministries and other nominated water agencies by NDAs are responsible for originating project ideas, needs for capacity development and provision of technical project information
  • Global and Regional technical partners will be responsible for supporting in-country capacity development and implementation
  •  Development Partners will provide funding for the project and country level engagement of the Partnership, either through Implementing Partners or through other mechanisms.

PARTNER RESPONSIBILITES AND OBLIGATIONS

  • Share knowledge and experiences on project preparation of GCF water projects
  • Provide technical support responding to country requests for GCF project preparation
  • Evaluate and respond to requests for support from countries or entities seeking assistance to outline and implement a project-specific support plan
  • Mobilize financial support and technical assistance for project preparation
