The Partner organisations include a wide range of water stakeholders, such as government agencies, scientific institutions, private companies, NGOs, universities and professional associations.
In the past, the partnership status was open to organisations and the individuals; countries are however now creating awareness on the GWP Partners Policy and the Conditions of Accreditation. The present GWP Partners policy only recognizes institutions as GWP Partners.
