Lesotho Water Partnership

About

The Lesotho Water Partnership was launched on 30th August 2004 as a network to promote the concepts of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) within the country. This network is formed under the auspices of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) based in Stockholm under the strategic direction of the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) being the regional body.

Mission and Goals 

The mission of the Lesotho Water Partnership is to support sustainable development and management of water resources and provision of water and sanitation services at all levels in the country. To achieve all this, the network shall develop and implement its strategic plan with the following strategic goals:

  1. Influence development and review of the national policies so that they reflect the principles of Integrated Water Resources Management ;
  2. To enhance research, inter-sectoral dialogue and information exchange on water issues ;
  3. To enhance participation and capacity of stakeholders regarding water resource development and management. 

Network Governance
