Stage 1 Support

The SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme offers limited financial and technical support to interested countries. Technical assistance to countries is channelled through the GWP network, and facilitates the organisation of multi-stakeholder consultations to gather country data for SDG indicator 6.5.1 reporting. The technical support manifests itself in detailed guidance material to complete the reporting and conduct multi-stakeholder consultations, complemented by an online training course for facilitators of and key participants in the multi-stakeholder consultations.

Training of Facilitators Course for SDG 6.5.1

Our second technical assistance tool is an online training course for facilitators of and key participants in the multi-stakeholder consultations as part of the SDG 6.5.1 reporting. The course allows all those interested in organising a multi-stakeholder consultation process on SDG indicator 6.5.1 to fully understand what that indicator is, how it is calculated, as well as both the importance of involving multiple stakeholders and the practical means of involving those different stakeholders.

The course is freely accessible through the Virtual Campus of our partner UNDP Cap-Net and is available in English, French and Spanish. The time required to go through the course is estimated to be about 4 to 6 hours. A minimum score of 60% is required to successfully complete the course.
