Action 13 - Promote greater integration of concerns about water resources and IWRM in policies and strategies for economic growth and diversification, as well as in land use and development planning at national and district level

In 2019, the Directorate-General for Natural Resources and Energy with the support of the Sao Tome and Principe Country Water Partnership brought together stakeholders from national and local government agencies, development partners, and NGOs to define a series of strategic actions for advancing on IWRM in Sao Tome and Principe. The following action was defined as part of that process and included in an action plan.

The purpose of this action is to promote greater integration of concerns about water resources and IWRM in policies and strategies, especially in those targeting economic growth and diversification, as well as land-use and development planning at both national and district level.
