IWRM knowledge accumulation and dissemination

The ToolBox Workshop was held on 22-23 March 2013 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

The workshop was initiated by CWP KYR. The workshop was organized for universities lecturers and young PhD students aimed to introduce GWP ToolBox and seek opportunities to apply it in the education. The workshop was also aimed to encourage professors of universities to develop IWRM curricula based on the Toolbox. The training course was attended by 15 participants from Kyrgyzstan, mainly professors of Kyrgyz- Russian Slavic University and Agriculture University in Bishkek. The participants (both senior lecturers and young PhD students) were from the following departments: water resources management, hydro-technical engineering, irrigation, ecology and the environmental protection. This training course comprised lectures (presentations and case studies), group work, and brain storming sessions, exercises and discussion. At the end of the training, all participants were requested to provide a feedback, in order to learn lessons and applicability in their region.
