GWP-CAf trains CWP Executive Secretaries on the Use of Virtual Tools (Zoom)

After taking part in the GWPO Working in Virtual Environment Training (WiVe) ahead of the Virtual Regional Days 2020 , Global Water Partnership Central Africa (GWP-CAf) decided to share the knowledge acquired during this training with all Country Water Partnerships within its network.

The objective of this virtual training offered by the Communications and Knowledge Management officer for GWP-CAf, Amabo Samyra was to ensure that all CWPs are not only aware of the available digital tools, but also have a good understanding of one tool to be able to capitalize it to manage online meetings/events.

The training was attended by the Executive Secretaries of CWP Cameroon, Congo, Sao Tome and also the SDG 6.5.1 focal point for Sao Tome. The training focused on the basics of the Zoom web based video conference tool (how to create an account, how to join meetings, how to host meetings etc) and also tips for hosting a virtual event/ meeting.

A survey sent out after the training session revealed that all participants found the training useful and are open to the idea of learning more about digital tools for effective virtual engagement especially within the context of the COVID-19 crisis.
