Action 21 – Prepare water use balance study for sources under water stress or experiencing high demand

In 2021, under the leadership of the Ministry of Environment and with the technical and financial support of GWP Central America, a number of consultation workshops were organised with the participation of stakeholders from the public sector, civil society, the private sector, academia, international cooperation and water sector authorities. As a result, the IWRM Action Plan (PAGIRH2022-2026 was developed with the objective to implement concrete actions for advancing in IWRM in Panama. The following action was defined as part of that process and identified as a priority action included in the action plan. 

The purpose of this action is to formulate a water use balance study in order to analyse sources under water stress or experiencing high demand.
