This was an important step in a long process following the recommendations from the "Regional Dialogue on Major Water Infrastructures in West Africa" conducted under the aegis of ECOWAS between 2009 and 2011. GWP/WA, which has always been involved in this process alongside ECOWAS and other sub-regional organizations, was represented by Mr Dam MOGBANTE, Executive Secretary.
The workshop was presented with the document which was discussed and validated.
The amended version of the project document will be submitted to the next meeting of the Technical Committee of Experts and then to the next Council of Ministers according to the ECOWAS validation modalities and GWP / WA intends to continue contributing to the finalization of this important tool for the West African Sub region.
