IDMP reviews drought initiatives in the countries

After a brief and comprehensive analysis of the situation in the area of ​​drought in West Africa, the IDMP continues approaches in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger to conduct national reviews of initiatives, current or less than three (3) years plans and strategies in all three countries. 

The national reviews will allow to make the situation of national structures in charge of drought issues, indicating their fields and their areas of intervention and map out projects and ongoing initiatives in the area of ​​drought.
All three countries have therefore started the process thanks to the agreements signed between GWP / WA and CWP Mali and Burkina Faso. Regarding Niger, a contract was signed with a national consultant.
Mali is much more advanced with the completion of action on the ground and a first draft of the report released will be validated in a workshop planned for Friday, June 12 in Bamako, Mali with all the actors.
