GWP’s VISION is a water secure world. Our MISSION is to advance governance and management of water resources for sustainable and equitable development.

A network of networks, we ensure the ‘voices of water’ can inﬂuence local, national, regional, and global development priorities. GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

European Parliament Presentation of WWDR 2017

The UN World Water Development Report 2017 (WWDR 2017) will be presented at the European Parliament in Brussels on 6 June. At this event, GWP will be part of a panel discussion on the value of wastewater in the circular economy.

The 2017 report - Wastewater - the Untapped Resource - was formally launched on 22 March (World Water Day). It demonstrates how improved wastewater management generates social, environmental and economic benefits essential for sustainable development, and it is the reference publication of the UN System on the status of freshwater resources worldwide.

GWP Senior Knowledge Management Officer Danka Thalmeinerova will participate in the presentation of the report in the European Parliament, providing a civil society perspective in a a panel discussion on “The Value of Wastewater in the Circular Economy”.
