GWP’s VISION is a water secure world. Our MISSION is to advance governance and management of water resources for sustainable and equitable development.

A network of networks, we ensure the ‘voices of water’ can inﬂuence local, national, regional, and global development priorities. GWP Regions

This is where you can find links to the websites of our Regional Water Partnerships (RWPs). RWPs are closest to the countries where we work. They share knowledge and learning across national boundaries and are expected to have an open, inclusive, and gender-sensitive policies for bringing together as wide a group of stakeholders as possible to solve water problems.

Preparations for "Water and Energy" Year 2014 in Zaragoza

The UN-Water Annual Zaragoza Conference takes place on 13-16 January 2014 in Zaragoza, Spain. The aim of the event is to serve as preparation for World Water Day 2014, which focuses on the nexus of water and energy.

The conference will have four main elements:

1. The general framework, identifying the Water and Energy challenges as well as exploring the similarities and differences between the two sectors.

2. The partnership experience, reviewing and analyzing selected partnership experience according to main partners.

3. Lessons from partnerships and the way forward.

4. Enabling partnerships. The conference will serve to present and discuss specific practical experiences of successful partnerships with practical outcomes on Water and Energy.
