The Volta Flood and Drought Management (VFDM) project is drawing to a close after four (04) years of implementing activities in the six (06) countries of the basin. Among the last activities undertaken was a simulation exercise to disseminate warnings and organise the response in the event of flooding in the ten (10) pilot sites spread across the six (6) countries of the Volta basin.
On 2 April 2025, the first of a series of webinars under the DANURELY-WS (Danube Youth Leadership for Water Security) project took place. The online event, organized by the Water Research Institute (VÚVH, Slovakia) in collaboration with GWP CEE, focused on the topic of youth involvement in improving water quality in the Danube region.
GWP-WA held this Saturday, December 2, 2023 the 11th Partners Assembly under the theme: ''Accelerating the achievement of SDG6 in a context of security crisis in West Africa: Challenges, Innovative Strategies and Contributions of Partnerships''. 2025: The Southern African Development Community (SADC) will convene representatives from its Member States, River Basin Organizations (RBOs), Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs), development partners, civil society, International Cooperating Partners (ICPs), and financial institutions for the inaugural Transboundary Water and Landscapes Sustainable Finance Bootcamp.
