Grenadian Terrisha Walcott-Pierre Completes GWP-C WAY Internship in Jamaica

Terrisha Walcott-Pierre, a dedicated Youth Ambassador for the Global Water Partnership Caribbean (GWP-C), and Public Health Professional, proudly completed a one-week internship in Jamaica from March 2nd to March 10th, 2024, as part of the GWP-C's Caribbean Water Academy for Youth (GWP-C WAY) programme. Pierre-Walcott was sponsored by the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean to continue her capacity building by completing her internship with the Water Resources Authority (WRA) of Jamaica.

Virtual Workshop - Advancing Water Quality Through Blockchain Technology

In an effort to address the growing global challenges surrounding water quality and conservation, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) pioneered a new approach to safeguard this essential resource. On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (UTC-4), GWP-C hosted a groundbreaking workshop titled “Advancing Water Quality through Blockchain Technology.”

Tabletop Exercise on "Water Sector Knowledge Sharing and Transfer" for Caribbean SIDS”

The Global Water Partnership -Caribbean (GWP-c) hosted a Tabletop Exercise (TTX) for persons working in the Caribbean water sector on Thursday 16th November, 2023. The initiative was used to test and evaluate organizations’ response to a hypothetical scenario or a set of circumstances in a controlled and low-stress environment related to the water sector.

Regional Technical Workshop on Water Scarcity

The Asia Pacific Water Scarcity Programme (WSP) has been implementing core activities in Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam over the past year. FAO is bringing together all technical stakeholders involved in the WSP for a Regional Technical Workshop on Water Scarcity to take stock of progress, review the WSP approach, and gain stakeholder insights on the best ‘way forward.’
