Bridgetown, Barbados, September 18, 2013: Ministers with responsibility for Water in several Caribbean countries will gather at the 9^th High Level Session (HLS 9) Ministerial Forum which takes place on 10 - 11 October 2013 at the Hilton Barbados Resort. This Ministerial Forum is part of the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association’s (CWWA’s) 22^nd Annual Conference and Exhibition, which is being hosted by the Barbados Water Authority (BWA). 

The regional workshop on “Training needs and gaps assessment on adaptation and resilience to a changing climate in South Asia”, was held successfully in Kathmandu, Nepal from 4-5 September 2013. It was jointly organized by the Asia Pacific Adaptation Network (APAN) in collaboration with APAN's thematic node for water, Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS).

GWP Central and Eastern Europe will share experiences with lowland river restoration in Moldova and using water for energy and environment in Slovenian Alpine streams at the European River Restoration Conference held on 11th-13th September in Vienna.

Global Water Partnership and the OECD have launched a joint project to establish a Global Dialogue on Water Security and Sustainable Growth. The major output of the cooperation will be a milestone report to be presented at the World Water Forum in 2015 in South Korea.

International water cooperation is essential. This was one of the key messages that Ambassador Robert F. Van Lierop delivered in his keynote speech at the GWP Consulting Partners Meeting in Stockholm. He made it clear that climate adaptation issues affect the entire world.

Thirteen years after it was first launched, GWP’s online database IWRM ToolBox gets a facelift. It is not the first time a change is made, but it is the most radical. The new version, now integrated with the main GWP website,  has more features and is easier to navigate.

The GWP’s annual Consulting Partners Meeting and the Regional Days were held from 26 August to 1 September 2013 in Stockholm.
