On the occasion of the first National Science Month, in response to the call from the China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Water Resources, China, focusing on the theme "Science and Technology Change Life, Innovation Wins the Future," GWP China Yellow River Basin Water Partnership and the Yellow River Institute of Hydraulic Research organized two events named "The Yellow River with You: Yellow River Science Reaches Communities."
On September 29, 2025, the National Science Month event, "Agriculture and Water Conservancy: One Family, Yellow River Science Reaches Rural Areas," organized by GWP China Yellow River Basin Water Partnership and the Yellow River Institute of Hydraulic Research (YRIHR), was successfully held.
To bolster the revision of the Flood Control Law of the People's Republic of China and guarantee its congruence with contemporary water resource management needs, GWP China leveraged its professional acumen to actively engage in research, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the water legal framework, as mandated by China's Ministry of Justice.
In Mid-July, 2025, GWP China, in collaboration with its local partner, the Hydrological Survey and Research Center of Hebei Province, has been making preparations for the establishment of the Groundwater Committee of Global Water Partnership China in Hebei Province. The Hydrological Survey and Research Center of Hebei Province will serve as the host institute for the Committee.

The report highlights the alarming challenges facing these vital ecosystems, which supply freshwater to billions of people worldwide.
