Thematic Consultation Multi-stakeholders in the Water Resources Sector

In commemoration of World Water Day 2024 and to support the 10th World Water Forum, GWP Indonesia is holding a series of activities through the 5th Indonesian Water Forum. The series of activity started by multi-stakeholders’ consultation in collaboration with Ministry of Public Work of Indonesia and The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas.

Regional Technical Workshop on Water Scarcity

The Asia Pacific Water Scarcity Programme (WSP) has been implementing core activities in Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam over the past year. FAO is bringing together all technical stakeholders involved in the WSP for a Regional Technical Workshop on Water Scarcity to take stock of progress, review the WSP approach, and gain stakeholder insights on the best ‘way forward.’

Result from the 2023 SDG 6.5.1 Stakeholder Consultation Process in Cambodia

The SDG 6.5.1 Support Program is GWP’s flagship program aimed at assisting the national SDG 6.5.1. Focal Points in the organisation and facilitation of multi-stakeholder consultation on SDG Indicator 6.5.1, also known as Stage 1 support. The second stage is designed to facilitate the development of an Action Plan or similar in response to the identified challenges in Stage 1. Lastly, Stage 3 has an objective to support the implementation of the selected actions.

Paved the Way for FINISH MONDIAL in Accelerating WASH Access through Micro-Finance in Indonesia

Jakarta 9 November 2023, located at the All Seasons Hotel, the Decision-Makers round table discussion was organized by GWP-SEA and Water Stewardship Indonesia, with support from the FINISH MONDIAL. The discussion aimed to share information on the successes and the challenges of safe WASH in Indonesia, notably where these efforts connect to micro-credit, shared ideas and solutions to successfully scale up WASH and WASH micro-credit and discussed the potential to build PPP collaboration to achieve safe WASH in Indonesia by 2030.

Water Scarcity Program in Indonesia is Officially Launched

The Water Scarcity Program (WSP) was developed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization with support from the Australian Government to support countries in Asia-Pacific in taking practical steps to address and manage water scarcity under rapid population growth and in a changing climate. The WSP specifically aims to provide technical and policy support to help countries ensure that agricultural water use is managed in a sustainable and productive manner under increasing water scarcity, thereby contributing to water security, food security, resilient rural livelihoods, and prosperity in across Asia-Pacific with an additional focus on achieving SDGs 2 and 6.
