Water ChangeMaker stories to inspire us all

Our Water ChangeMaker competition is progressing swiftly! Now you can read the stories of our 78 semi-finalists who have changed the world for the better.

The semi-finalist stories share a common features like the need for fast spreading enthusiasm and the motivation to work for a cause bigger than oneself. Many of the stories demonstrate strong potential for growth: a viral propensity to be replicated and scaled up in other contexts. These elements can all be considered as keys to their success.

Jury of Thought Leaders

For our Water ChangeMaker Awards we strived to assemble an impressive jury of thought leaders with a goal to find the Top Ten submissions. They include:

Trevor Thompson, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Grenada and GWP’s Chair of Chairs

During GWP’s Network Meeting on 21 October 2020, the results of these findings will be announced.

What's next

Now, the jury will work hard to determine the stories that will reach the final stage of the competition. The announcement of the winners will happen at the beginning of the year 2021. However, that is not the end. This competition started something great and we will encourage all Water ChangeMakers to continue their journey, share their knowledge and grow together. We plan to establish active comunities in order to make this happen. On top of that, these fresh perspectives will also contribute to the reinvigoration of the GWP Toolbox.
