Today, on 3 November, our partners at the European Open Rivers Programme, a grant-giving organisation dedicated to restoring rivers, announced their next call for applications. They are currently accepting applications for dam removal (demolition) grants (categories A3 and A4) from eligible applicants within all European countries.
Applications are due on 8th December 2023, by 17:00 CET.
The organization is particularly interested in demolition projects that will enable at least 10 km of river to flow freely again, per removal.
In addition to inviting applications for all grant types from NGOs, the organization is also inviting public sector entities to apply for demolition grants. Please contact the EU Rivers Programme beforehand if you represent a public entity with a potential project idea.
