The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Secretariat of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), in collaboration with UN agencies, international and regional organizations and key national agencies, organize the High-level Meeting on National Drought Policy (HMNDP) in Geneva, Switzerland on 11-15 March 2013.
The High-level Meeting will provide practical insight into science-based actions to address the key drought issues and various strategies to cope with drought.
The Meeting will start on 11 March with a half-day opening plenary, with a major keynote address, followed by four days of Scientific Segment (11-14 March), and two days High Level Segment for Ministers (14-15 March).
Sabina Bokal and Prof Janusz Kindler will present new GWP Central and Eastern Europe (GWP CEE) Integrated Drought Management Programme at the Scientific Segment of the meeting.
Sabina Bokal, newly appointed Project Manger for GWP CEE Integrated Drought Management Programme will make a presentation on 11 March 2013 from 16:00-17:30 CET.
Dr. Ania Grobicki, GWP Executive Secretary will deliver a speech during High Level Segment on 14 March 2013.
