The Session of the Council of Ministers was preceded by the preparatory meeting of the Technical Committee of Experts of the Mono River Basin Authority, held from 18 to 20 January 2022 in the conference room of LA CONCORDE Hotel in Lomé, Togo. The meeting was attended by the members of the Technical Committee of Experts from the two MBA Member States, the Executive Director of MBA, his deputy and the Executive Secretary of the Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA).
After examining the report of the Technical Committee of Experts, the Ministers congratulated the Experts for the quality of the document produced. The Ministers commended the availability and commitment of the Technical and Financial Partners to support and accompany the MBA in achieving its objectives.
The Ministers urged the Executive Management of MBA to continue its efforts to diversify the sources of funding for their activities. They took note of the presentation of the various projects in progress and in preparation by the Executive Management of the Mono Basin Authority.
