Eau Vive and GWP WA to strengthen partnership on Youth issues

Eau Vive International (NGO) represented by Kristel MALEGUE, Advocacy and International Partnership Director and the Coalition, and Ilias SAWADOGO, Assistant Youth Programme Officer, made a working visit to Global Water Partnership West Africa on 22 February 2018.

The working session with the Executive Secretariat was also attended by Ms Farida KONE, Youth representative at the GWP/WA Steering Committee.

Discussions focused mainly on new avenues of collaboration between GWP/WA and Eau Vive International on:

  • Advocacy in relation to IWRM in West Africa. Joint actions will be planned in countries covered both by both organizations;
  • Youth initiatives in West Africa which will be studied together starting from drafts of the conceptual notes already developed by each of the partner structures;
  • Collaboration for participation in the 8th World Water Forum 2018 in Brazil.

A roadmap will help to refine the actions to be taken jointly.
