The meeting in Niamey went well and there were some rather interesting exchanges with participants working on SDC and Helvetas programmes. GWP WA chair had the opportunity to discuss in particular with Mr. Johan Guly, Head of the SDC's Water Division.
The Executive Secretary of the CWP Niger actively participated in the meeting that launched the Africa sub-network, which will have to define in the coming days its areas of interest and activities and its short- and medium-term programme. One of the objectives of this sub-network should be to serve as a watchdog for the SDC in its interventions in the field of WASH in Africa.
