Confirmation was given to participants by the chair Dr. Oyun Saanjasuren on her resignation as GWP chair to take up an opportunity at the Green Climate Fund. The new Executive Dr. Monika Weber-Fahr took total control over the secretariat and led debates during sessions.
Among important decisions was the appointment of GWP-WA Chair, Professor Amadou Hama MAIGA as Chair of Chairs of the Regional Water Partnerships.
The regional team had many side meetings to discuss finance, governance, fund raising issues as well as draft proposals, programme assessment, networking with other regions, etc.
