This was a courtesy call by the outing Executive Secretary to introduce the new ES, Armand Houanye to the VBA director and staff. A visit much appreciated by Mr. Robert DESSOUASSI, Executive Director VBA who expressed readiness to strengthen the already existing collaboration between the two institutions. “There is much we can do together as there is much to be done in our countries. We rely upon the expertise of GWP to help us meet some of the challenges we are facing in the basin”, says Mr. DESSOUASSI. And the VBA Executive went on to cite the upcoming “regional training workshop on Integrated Flood Management (IFM), preparation and financing of IFM projects” from 20th to 24th November 2017 in the premises of the VBA Executive Directorate in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso as a good example of what is needed to focus on in the near future.
