This programme is developing greater collaboration for partnership for development in both Central and West African regions. GWP-WA is bringing its contributions to the conduct of the study on gender mainstreaming in the implementation of the PREE and in the planning of policies, strategies, projects and programs for water resources management in the West African region.
The meeting gathered virtually various IUCN partners in both regions on October 15, 2020. IUCN and the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) have agreed on the formulation of the project "Regional Partnership on Water and Environment in Central and West Africa" (PREE). A financing agreement was signed between Sida and IUCN in March 2020 for the implementation of the project.
