The opening ceremony was held by the Chadian Minister of Urban and Rural Water, Mr. Alio Abdoulaye Ibrahim. This meeting was organized as a prelude to the 41st Ministerial council meeting which was finally reported to a new date to be communicated.
GWP-WA is a long-standing partner of the Niger Basin Authority with concrete actions in the Mekrou sub-basin with the financial support of the European Union in Niger. Mr. Sidi Coulibaly represented the Executive Secretariat of GWP-WA at this meeting.
