#TonFuturTonClimat in Burkina Faso, beneficiary selection

There were two youth associations competing to be the implementing partner of the project on the ground. Competing for this project were the "Koom La Viim" association (which means "Water is life") of Nomgana / rural municipality of Loumbila and the "Nongtaaba/Jeune La Touma" association (which means "youth is work") of Koankin in the rural municipality of Saponé.

Both submitted their dossier and a field visit was organized by the CWP to assess the information provided.

Thus, on 23 and 24 August 2018, the members of the selection committee visited the candidates' sites in Loumbila, about 26 km northeast of Ouagadougou (Nomgana village) and Sapone, about 30 km south of Ouagadougou (Koankin village) respectively. Of these visits, the selection committee met a second time to compile the results and designate the final beneficiary of the project. Unanimously, the commission designated the Association "Nongtaaba/Jeune la Touma de Saponé" (Koankin) as the main beneficiary of the #TFTC project in Burkina Faso.

The #tonfuturtonclimat pilot project (TFTC) aims to increase the resilience of rural youth to climate change while making them development actors in their communities.
