Together with the CWP Benin and consultants involved in carried out various studies discussions came out with a clear and firm timetable whose implementation will boost WACDEP-G implementation in Benin.
A training workshop on the "Integration of the Gender Transformative Approach in the planning and implementation processes of investments for water security and climate resilience in Benin" was held on 24 and 25 November 2021 in Porto-Novo, Benin. The aim of the training workshop is to build the capacity of participants to mobilize resources for climate finance. A framework for periodically documenting participants' feedback on the use and valorization of the knowledge gained was developed.
A roadmap was developed for the finalization and submission of the project note for the "Construction of two multi-purpose dams at SASSIRO and KPAMALANGOU and improvement of the resilience of the communities in the Upper Ouémé watershed in Benin.
The training was facilitated by GWP-WA and CWP-Benin in collaboration with FNEC. Twenty (20) participants tooa part in the national training workshop representing DGEau, FNEC, Local Water Partnerships, UNFCC focal point, the General directorate of environment and climate, the Association of communes of Atacora-Donga, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, the National Institute of Water, GWP-WA and CWP Benin.
