Boyla BASSOUROU and Cheick Aboubacar BAMBARA are the two young professionals selected after a recruitment process for professional immersion at the GWP-WA Regional Secretariat since July 2018. After six (06) months each one draws the first lessons from a stay at the Regional Secretariat.

Boyla BASSOUROU: “This internship allowed me to better identify the issues related Boylato water management in a world where people's water needs are constantly increasing. GWP-WA offered me the opportunity to know that a global and individual annual work plan as well as the definition of results and impact indicators will allow me to make significant progress. The enhancement of these advances would only be effective through the production and dissemination of knowledge for the benefit of populations and stakeholders.

I have completed this well-equipped internship and would be willing to invest myself in knowledge production and management in any field in which I am involved or associated.”

Cheick A. BAMBARA: “This internship allowed me to acquire new knowledge, particularly on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). It also allowed me Cheickto acquire new knowledge in the field of project and program writing and management.

I learned in terms of formulating ideas on the one hand and the different steps of writing a project until its final submission on the other.

I learned to work under pressure, to surpass myself to keep pace with the activities implemented by the GWP-WA.”
