The global focus on the threats posed by climate change has drawn attention to the fact that water will be the medium through which many of its impacts will be felt. In addition to the direct impacts of damaging floods and interruptions to water supply due to drought, a particular concern in many regions is the threat to food security, driven by changing rainfall patterns and increased aridity.
In an effort to engage the youth and help them understand the value of access to potable water, the Grenada Community Development Agency (GRENCODA) held a four-day Student Assistance Programme (SAP) Camp for students between the ages of 12-16 years under the theme “Water a Critical Development Resource, Seriously Challenged.”
The Water Resources Agency (WRA) of the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) of Trinidad and Tobago hosted its first meeting of Quarry stakeholders at the Kapok Hotel in Trinidad on July 13th, 2011.

The Capacity Building Workshop on “Integrated Water Resources Management, with particular reference to the conditions in the extended Drin River Basin” was co-organised in Skhodra, Albania, 25-27 November 2008by the Global Water Partnership-Mediterranean (GWP-Med), the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE) and the GEF “Lake Shkoder/Skadar Integrated Ecosystem Management” Project.
